Description

This is a model which uses an Heatbooster and a couple of fans to boost radiator output.

You will need the following stuff:

  • 2 Noctua NF-A6 25 pwm fans (each module takes two fans)
  • A heatbooster (https://www.sdr-engineering.nl/webshop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=50)
  • A fan extension cable (when using multiple modules). For a reference check the images for an example.
  • A 12v adapter to power the heatfan (the amount of Amperage depends on the amount of fans). For 4 1A will work, but for 6/8 2A is better.

The bottom model is used to hold the fans in place, the top cover is just for good looks. They will just slide into place, if they are to loose a drop of glue might help.

Orientation:

  1. The top part should be oriented bottom side up
  2. The bottom part should be printed at its default orientation

Print settings:

I printed these in PLA on my X1C, no supports needed. Margins in the mating connectors are quite tight. Thats so that they don't slide out easily. A drop of glue can be used to make it stay put if needed.

You can use other printing filaments which can better handle heat, but for me i haven't needed it.

FYI: I have the same model on printables
