Description

For years, we've had an old hunk of pressure treated 1x6 screwed to the tree next to our fire pit where I had a Yeti bottle opener and a little metal bin to catch bottle caps. Well, the wood was aging and the bin was rusty, so my wife challenged me to do better. Here's what I came up with. You'll need some parts that aren't printed, detailed below, it's the actual Yeti bottle opener and some screws.

No holes for you to drill here. Everything's pre-configured for the Yeti opener and the included cap collector bin. The bin design came from parrothead270 on Thingiverse. Link to original source for the bin.

Parts you'll need that you can't print:

  1. Yeti Wall-Mount Bottle Opener – Link to Product
  2. #10 x ¾" stainless steel pan-head sheet metal screws (for mounting the bin) - Example
  3. #10 x 3" exterior-grade screws to mount the whole assembly to a tree - Example

Of course, if you're mounting this to something other than a tree, pick an appropriate screw type to use. I like the kind I linked above because of the integrated washer. If you're doesn't have one, add a washer.

I printed this in Bambu's PETG-CF. I don't think I'd do that again. Love the color, hated how rough the top came out. So much so that I had to sand it.
