Description

This is Hermione Granger's Time Turner from the Harry Potter movies! My goal with this model was to provide the most accurate movie prop replica while still keeping the model simple enough to be printed while retaining the most important details. Due to tight tolerances it is recommended to print this model on a 0.2mm nozzle and has NOT been tested on a 0.4mm nozzle but it could work. This model prints in pieces, it's important to not separate the outer and middle rings when slicing your own profile since they are intertwined. The rest of the model can be printed individually and easily snaps together without glue, but it should be secured with glue if you intend on using this as a fidget toy rather than a display prop.

Filaments Used:

Gold - PLA Silk Gold from Bambu lab

Clear Glass - PETG clear from Bambu lab

I printed 9 silver 12.25" versions for my Ravenclaw tree and one iridium gold for my Harry Potter tree. the positive response from the pottergram community has been amazing!

Enlarged it and printed it on the holographic build plate by Bambu Labs and it gave it a little extra sparkle. Tried it in 3 different colors - silver, gold, brushed gold.

Had trouble with the part you'd attach a chain to or whatever, but otherwise it is great. my friend loved it.

I enlarged it 300% on my X1 Carbon and I love it! i peinted it on the holographic build plate and its even more amazing. I might make 3 or 6 large versions of this for my Christmas tree this year. Anyway you can make a stand for the one that doesn't have any hanging loops? Pottery Barn has one with a stand.

I still need to print the hourglass for the silver version but it shines nicely.

Love it. increased the hour glass portion 1% and it stopped falling out. Is there someplace I can buy the commercial license for this?

The tolerance for the innermost disk was a bit loose and falls out easily. the others printer well

that’s super interesting because it is a 0 tolerance part… Did you use the default profile or did you slice yourself, I’d love to fix this as quick as possible

I think so but I am not 100% sure since I printed it last month and forgot to give the feedback. I resliced the model and with the default settings with the only change being the 0.4mm nozzle and the time matches with the time shown in the maker world app in te printing history. May be the nozzle made the difference.

Couldn't get the .4 to work but the .2 nozzle was perfect. Printed in bambulab basic PLA gold and sunlu transparent pla for the hourglass. Looks very cute and can be used as a fidget as long as the person is careful.
