Description

This is a project I have been working on for a while in the background and I've finally come to a result I'm happy with. Never really intended to share it but I thought I might as well because someone could do something cool with this or maybe the internet can give me some feedback.

Now this is nothing refined of course, just chucked together to look good enough and be plenty strong, a camera is on the line here!! As far as the ergonomics go, I haven't really given it a good test but that's what your all for. So unless you have some big bear paws your hands should have plenty of room on the handles.

HARDWARE USED:

Yes this does require extra hardware but its for the cameras safety, they don't like being dropped very much! The socket head screws and locknuts came from an Australian distributor, I'll still give the links of course, you just might need to find another source if you're located elsewhere.

120mm M5 - 0.8 coarse thread socket head screws:

M5 - 0.8 coarse thread lock nuts:

NOTES:

The mounting screw I used was scavenged from an old tripod that I didn't use so I don't have a link for the exact one I used, however it is a ¼" thread and something like this *MIGHT* work. Don't buy it unless you want to take a gamble, but I would recommend finding something similar that matches the measurements of the print. Or just do what I did and scavenge your tripods

Also the bolt I used for the top mount was found reading the newspaper in my garage so I don't have a link for that either.

If you end up using the Fusion 360 file, its a little messy so I apologise in advance

Just remember I didn't originally intend to upload this project, so if it doesn't work for you then maybe do some re-modelling. I PROBABLY wont be updating the model at any point in the future.

But please give me some constructive feedback on the design, I'm new around here.
