Description

Dutch Townsign Keychain, Customizable in OpenSCAD.

Printed sizes in pictures are 100% and 150% with 0.4mm nozzle

When printing with 0.4mm nozzle i would suggest to atleast size 120%, otherwise the text is not very pretty.

Due to limitations of MakerLab, the font used in the pictures ("Highway Gothic") cannot be used with MakerLab.
To use this font follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest nightly build from OpenSCAD and enable textmetrics in Edit → Preferences → Features → textmetrics.
  2. Download the “Highway Gothic” font from the internet in TTF or OTF format (https://www.dafont.com/highway-gothic.font).
  3. Drop the font file in the same folder as the .SCAD file
  4. Make sure that the name of the font file is equal to the name in the first line of code (e.g. use <HWYGOTH.TTF>)
  1. Adjust other variables in top of the OpenSCAD script.
  2. Press F6 to render the object
  3. Export as STL

Alternatively, u can just use the default font in MakerLab, personally i think its similiar to the Highway Gothic font.

Within MakerLab, you can adjust any settings, like the edge offset, edge thickness, town name, size, etc.

Lastly make sure to color the print within Bambu Studio with the “Color Painting” feature (shortcut N).
