Description

Slide option kit is here

Suppressor and barrel kit is here

Extended mag is here

Dare to make a fidget keychain, here you go!

Resin friendly. Fidget subcompact print with resin. (video demo)

Last updated STL - July 15, 2024.
Recheck the latest STL before starting printing.

Please note that I may use the photo you create as a model cover. Welcome to publish your work.

Easy print Subcompact prop pistol with detachable slide & barrel. Suggest 0.12mm layer height. Brim all small parts.

Optional kit available:  1. Suppressor and barrel kit  / 2. Extended mag (coming soon)

For cosplay only. Not intended for use in any illegal activities.

**** Recoil pin spring assembly comes with print-in-place 2 spacer discs. You might mistake it for a support structure. ****

It is recommended to increase the nozzle and bed temperature of the first layer.

Build video instruction for standard. The only different is subcompact only need one spring for recoil pin.

Springs for retractable pen is enough. Use pliers to modify and precision is not required.

For the latest STL, add an L-shaped spring stl, or DIY a piece of plastic, like a food container, for the slide release lock.

Recommend PETG for mag catch spring

Outcome like below.

Some photos for reference.

A smart maker suggest to use plastic sheets as springs for sliding locks.

Optional optical sight is  coming soon. Follow me, like and boost my models, and stay tuned!

Sequence by object print gives the best result.

Now to get it together.

Is there a recoil pin in the upper right corner? This is assuming a spring is installed. ( 2 discs print in place with support. The spring comes from the retractable pen.)

You're a very talented designed and Im looking forward to making this! You know what would be a true challenge? If someone could add a blow back function just like the shell eject toys you see all over aliexpress and the like.

Oh this will take a lot effort to do so. Let me get one to study. :p

That would be an interesting engineering challenge for someone to take one. I bet modelling the basic mechanism would spur a lot of designers to incorporate into existing models. The basic ones are surprisingly simple in execution, just a couple springs and levers that will trip once a certain point is reached. Found a video explaining how one works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1FRh293-HE

It is funny. But seems it is kind of "pull back" and not blow back. And the slide is not detachable. :p

LOL my wife says it's too realistic for a toddler, I made hollow points in the slicer and used glow petg for tritium night sights. Shhh still gonna give it to my child for some photo sessions... Definitely boosting when I get more, it felt like I was assembling the real gun. Going to try fuzzy skin on the handle piece next time around.

Sick color scheme! Looks great! Is that black PLA Silk you used on the body?

fun model. for the main spring I had a nice strong spring, can't remember where I even got it. however it was easier to remove the front spacer. and not sure if I missed it in the video but adding a piece of filament to poke out the front of the lower barrel piece helps retain the guide rod in the little indent. for the slide lock I used .036 welder wire. for some of the parts I just used CA. easier and faster. like the rear rail. and the barrel to the hood and lower barrel part.

Cool silver barrel and pin. I think your spring may be too strong and the PLA will deform if you lock the slide with the lever for a long time. btw I updated stl yesterday. I bet you'll print it again.

I used 2 lighter springs, so much better! They were from a spring assortment box on amazon. Still with the front spacer removed - works fine. I see the updates to the model, the details are nice, but I'd have to print the slide and the grip. Maybe I will.

This is an awesome model! I think it came out looking beautiful and really enjoyed putting it together. The only issue I ran into was putting the springs on. I found that the springs in my pens seem to be hard to form correctly. However, I eventually got it!

Advance, 3 plates print sequence by object, read description
This is amazing. Design is thoroughly thought through, considers what people would have on hand, and assembly was really not too difficult. The new print plates limit post processing to almost nothing and the parts came out strong and smooth.
