Description

I love Weysyarber's Quarto case, but wanted something that was a) a little smaller for travel and b) a little easier to get the lid on and off. Thus, Quarto Pocket!

Quarto Pocket shown in different colors, next to a print of the original version (back right)

I designed a new case based on the the old one, with the following changes:

  • I'ts 75% smaller
  • The lid is now the flat part, rather than the stepped section
  • The label is now flush with the lid, for use with MMS printing
  • The label is an object within the .3MF file which can be customized in Bambu Studio. Change the font, size, word, or even change it into a negative object for single color printing.
  • The lid is a little taller, and the base a bit shorter, to make it easier to grip the lid

Additionally, there are multiple versions of the box / lid available:

  • One with a beveled edge where the top and bottom meet, making it easier to separate them
  • One with finger notches in the middle of the side of the lid
  • One with both a bevel AND finger notches'

I've included a .STEP file of my case, should you wish to make further modifications. If you like the case modifications and want to use it at the original size just size it up! It should print just fine.

The .3MF has two different plates for the player pawns: one which just has a single set (print twice, in two different colors) and one which has both player sets on one plate, to be printed by object. If you have an AMS this allows you to print both player's pawns without having to stop and clear the bed.
