Both my son and daughter were recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and the last thing I need to be worrying about is wasting money or more importantly time on fiddling with test strips. This is an insert for the Verio OneTouch blood glucose test strip container which allows it to be used in similar fashion to a salt shaker, making it easy to dispense approximately one test strip at a time, and removing the potential for accidental spills. Instead of having to fumble with small strips, you can literally prepare a glucose meter for use in the complete dark, in a moving car or crowded bus, or while trying to manage a small child. This design has come from pure necessity and I assure you its solved every problem, except being able to do it completely one handed. Shake the container into your hand vertically to dispense one strip.

To install, place the J-latch into the groove along the side of the insert so the “handle” is accessible from the top.

Slide the insert into the container and press until seated, ensuring the test strips don't become pinched between the insert walls and the container bottom.

To remove, lift on the handle of the J-latch and use it to spin the insert while pulling up.
