I needed a simple keylight but couldn’t find one that met my needs. I had a Backlight Board available, so I made this frame for it. It provides a straightforward, elegant solution without the extra features that products like Elgato lights offer.
For mounting, I needed a ¼ inch camera mount, so I included an adapter for that. The frame is versatile, with a snapping point on the back and four screw holes to accommodate any adapter you need. If you want to change the mounting, just unscrew the current mount and attach a new one.
The diffuser is a simple, flat 0.6mm plate that allows the light to shine through effectively. It's exchangeable, so you can use it to tune the light color if you prefer. The top cover is removable, allowing access to the internals and changing the diffuser as needed.
You can find the STEP file for the mount in the download section and modify it as needed. Feel free to design your own adapters and let me know so I can link them here.
The assembly is straightforward—just tap in some screws, and you should be all set!
