Description

Print the flag flat on the plate. There is a “support layer” embedded in the middle of the flag that needs to be colored the same as the flag (so if you are re-coloring it, please pay attention to this). It will be easier if you just load your filament in the same way I have it in the file.

To form the flag to it's wavy shape, heat it in the oven at 190 degrees Fahrenheit until soft and pliable (about 10 minutes). Carefully take the flag out of the oven and place it in the base mold (the one with the lip). Push the flag up against the lip so it stays square, and gently mold it to the form with your hands. Then refine and permanently shape the flag using the top mold.

WARNING: THESE FLAGS ARE PRINTED IN PLA, WHICH WHEN HEATED TO 190 DEGREES IS SAFE. THIS MAY NOT BE TRUE FOR OTHER PLASTICS. HEAT THE FLAGS WITH CAUTION. ALTERNATIVELY, YOU COULD USE A HEAT GUN OR HAIR DRYER.
