Strength Issue:When tightening bolt and clamp onto desk it does not get very tight and will move around, when I tried to tighten further it started to snap.
Other Issues:Does not fit a single mug in my house, Will fit soda cans/other can drinks, and skinny tall glasses.
Support Issue:On the clamp piece the underside of the top portion did not touch the supports at all, causing weird lines and chipping off of the print.
I am a bit disappointed as I was very excited for this print.
Thank you for your Feedback but The problems you listed have nothing to do with my 3D model, the fact that the areas where there is a support are not 100% smooth is also normal. The only thing you say about the screw is that it may be a little too short on thin tables, that's correct and I'll add a longer screw soon.
Tolerance on the mount and the cup holder is way too tight for the new design. On the plus side, I've been standing on the pieces and nothing has broken.
Hi, first of all thank you for your feedback 🙏🏻. I'll print it again tomorrow because before I uploaded it to makerworld I printed it out myself and it's super easy for me to connect the two parts. I'll check this immediately tomorrow and get back to you.
Second one just got off the build plate, scaled the mount and screw to 99 and trimmed the edges a little bit. It slid together with a pretty solid fit, this thing isn't moving around. Don't know if the sizing problem is just a me thing or not, but I'm impressed with the build quality. Good work!
Hi @Jester_Designs thank you for the feedback, I'm currently printing it again but this time I started it directly from Makerworld. I'll get back to you when it's finished.
Printed well with easy to remove supports and was very solid. The joint for the cup holder was really tight and that was actually nice so that the cup holder doesn’t get overly loose.
