A simple, magnet-closed box for the Tic-Tac-Cap board at https://www.printables.com/model/72243-tic-tac-cap-a-game-of-stacking-and-stealing. Pieces should be stored on the board in a stacked fashion.
If you flip the lid over and print the box and lid with their outer faces down, there should be no need for support.
The text and the lid can be combined for a multi-color lid, or the text can be set on top for a mid-layer color change.
The box and the lid accept 6x3 mm round magnets for secure closure. Using all four magnets provides a firm closure ideal for rough conditions but may be too strong for small hands that can't grip across the top of the box. I would recommend installing only two magnets to start and then evaluating.
The posted rules are slightly different than those included in the original game. Limiting the second player to a small marker on their first move allows the first player to force a win. Increasing the allowed marker size by turn instead of by round alleviates this problem. You may also want to prohibit a steal on either player's first turn. These addendums stop the game from devolving into a regular game of tic-tac-toe.
