Description

Say goodbye to squinting at your phone screen under the blazing sun! The Brick Shaped Sun Visor is here to revolutionize your outdoor experience. Whether you're at the beach, by the pool, or enjoying a sunny day in the park, my fun Brick Sun Visor is designed to keep your screen perfectly visible. It will also direct sound more towards your ears.

Improves Vision and Sound

It will make reading books, watching videos, or browsing makerworld.com easier under bright sun. :) It will also direct sound more towards your ears. I have designed the height of the brick in such a way that it will not obstruct using fingers to navigate the phone. The width/length follows standard brick proportions.

Movable Studs/Dots

Studs print separately (studs = connection dots/pegs on the brick). You can rearrange the position of the studs to adjust the position of the brick.

Innovative Elliptical Lock!

I have created this lock specially for this purpose. I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else. By inserting the elliptical shape into an elliptical hole and rotating, you can lock the studs into the brick and also into another stud! It works a little like the eccentric lock used in mechanics.

Markings on the Brick and Studs

I have included text instructions inside the brick and positioning arrows on the studs to help you and your child use it.

Phone Compatibility

Without any modification, its internal size is 78mm x 160mm. It should work with:

  • iPhone™ 13-15 without a case or with the case (this is what I made it for)
  • iPhone™ 12 without a case
  • Most Samsung Galaxy™ S models
  • Any other smaller phones

You can size up or down both plates proportionally to scale it to your needs.

Suggestions for Printing

  • Will work best if printed in dark/black filament
  • If you need to scale models, scale both plates by the same amount (do not change the aspect ratio).
  • Use the new Bambu Studio measurement tool to verify the internal dimensions.
  • Print the brick first.
  • Print one stud and see how it fits the brick. It should fit the elliptical hole in a certain position and firmly lock after rotating it around 45 degrees; it will become looser after a few uses.
  • After any adjustments to the studs, print the other 7 studs.
  • Print a few more studs if you easily lose things.
  • You can also use modifiers to make hole for charging/headphones cable

Enjoy!
