Description

These models are inspired by the much, much nicer cases made from machined aluminum by Ikigai cases, specifically their Weekly AM/PM Case 2.0 and Mission Pill Case. If you like the design and feel of these 3d-printed surrogates, I highly recommend you check out the originals as significantly higher-quality, better-looking, longer-lasting objects for your everyday routine.

The main model here is a 7-slot pill case that can be used alone for a week of daily medications. A sliding lid securely closes if printed with decent tolerances. A pair of 5x3mm magnets can be glued in to help the lid stay in place. Additionally, you can print two identical copies and “dock” them together using 6 more 5x3mm magnets embedded on either side. Small indents mate with printable alignment pins to improve the strength of the attachment by preventing the sides from sliding relative to one another. Again, this print is similar to the Ikigai Weekly AM/PM Case 2.0.

A smaller 3-slot model (similar to the Mission Pill Case) is also provided for short trips or EDC of backup medication. This one adds a slot for a lanyard or strap.

Caution: do take care to make sure the print is clean of PLA/PETG debris/stringing or dust after any post-processing and before use. In general, it's a good idea to consider and minimize the risk of regularly ingesting microplastics as part of your daily routine – another good reason to get an original Ikigai case if you like this concept.
