Drawer organizer for the IKEA Alex drawer unit based on a grid system, built as bins that can be taken out easily and rearranged on the fly.

The inside measurement of an Alex draw is 292mm × 522mm without accounting for the screws. This modular system base itself on those measurements and creates a 5×9 grid of 58mm square (with a total footprint of 290mm × 522mm, allowing clearance for the screws and some wiggle-room to be able to remove each module more easily).

This project includes the following modules sizes: 1×1, 2×1, 2x2, 3×1, 3×2, 3×3, 4×1 & 4×2, as well as 2 custom 1×1 module for AA and AAA batteries and 2 types of cover (a notched one to close a module and a rounded one to transform them to pencil holder).

Printing

Each module should be printed flat side down in any solid material you want. I have printed mine with a 0.2mm layer height, but you might be able to speed up printing time by using 0.3mm instead.
