Description

This is a spacer for xTouch enclosure from TeachingTech @TeachingTech

https://www.printables.com/model/611634-xtouch-enclosure-for-bambu-lab-p1ps

it added more space behind the control monitor along with a designated hole for routing the USB cable to the back to use the USB port for power source.

add-on locking mechanism for the spacer, it will keep it in place.

Worked okay but there is a small tab on the P1S screen that the cutout on the model doesn't line up with. Had to modify with a soldering iron for this to work.

Tips for passing through the USB: - Look up P1S Front Panel removal guide on the Bambu Lab Wiki (there is a hidden screw) - Test fit your Micro end the easy way before trying to feed it through the back - Peel back the sticker and remove the 4 screws in the back of the circuit board to have better access to feeding through the cable. - Once the cable has been run, test it still functions before reassembling the board and panel - If printing via the default profile. make sure to remove the bit of support from the centre to allow the screen to go in Spent almost an hour trying to feed the USB cable without removing anything before just going ahead and taking off the front panel and daughter board that connects to the standard screen which then gave me the room to run the cable simply.

I had to take apart a bunch of stuff on the inside, Move the PCB, shave the end of my USB cable down and fed it through one of the slots. Its not a easy task.

I took off the board on the backside to get it through, and then there is lots of room for the cable when you tighten the board back up.

Does what it promises to do, but the extension slides back off with even the slightest force, making the xtouch fall off.

Had the same issue, print it in 0.28mm layer height. It fits much better this way 👍🏼

How did you manage to route the cable through this tiny space? Did you disassemble the board in the back? No matter what I do the cable head doesn't go through this tiny opening
