Description

Triggle is popular and addictive territory board game. I have designed this for up to 6 players and the general age range is aimed at 8 years and up, but my younger kids enjoy it just the same.

Typically 40 rubber bands are needed and are used to stretch across the game pegs. Instead of using rubber bands, I have created game bands. These game bands span across four posts but eliminate stress on the game pegs. Most do not have 40 rubber bands laying around the house, but if you are here then I bet you have a 3D printer close by.

Rules:

  • Each player chooses one of the colors game tray / pieces, there are 21 game pieces for each player.
  • Taking turns, each player adds one band to the board, suspending it between four posts in any direction. The only ‘rules’ when placing the game bands on the game board are that the line created by the game band must be straight and touch at least one other game band on the game board.
  • Once a player creates a triangle with their game band, they can claim it as their own by placing their colored pieces inside it. Then it is the next players turn.
  • The game ends whenever there are no spaces left on the board to claim, or one of the players uses up all their game pieces.

An alternative to the full game is for each player to have a set amount of game bands (for instance 10 or 20), and the players play until there are no more game bands left. Whoever has the most game pieces on the game board wins.

For the best game playing experience, I recommend printing contrasting colors for the game board vs the game bands. This will help game play when trying to complete triangles.

3D Printing:

  • Game pieces have a loose fit (0.25mm tolerance) on the game tray and game board.
  • Game trays have a loose fit (0.25mm tolerance) on the game board when in store / stack mode.
  • Game pegs to have a tighter fit (0.1mm) with the game board.
  • I have provided the .stp files to allow for easy modifications to any part of the game in the event there are fitment problems.

Any chance you can upload the .stl file? Just wanting to create a case for it all before I start printing

I just uploaded the .stl files. I also have the .stp files uploaded as well, which are usually easier to modify.
