The gantry modification of a Sapphire 3D printer to a Voron involves replacing the original movement system with a Voron-style motion system. This upgrade includes changing major components such as linear rails, carriages, and transmission belts, significantly enhancing printing accuracy and speed. I replaced the top (2x 2020 48.2cm, 2x 2020 41.4cm) and salvaged the linear guides to reuse them in the new structure. The Voron gantry design employs dual linear guides for each axis, ensuring greater rigidity and reducing vibrations during the printing process. Additionally, high-quality stepper motors and precision pulleys are used to ensure smooth and accurate movements. This modification transforms the Sapphire into a more reliable and high-performance machine, suitable for applications requiring a high degree of detail and precision.
