Description

I designed this handle because I was opening packages with kitchen knives like a caveman. Fits great in a junk drawer and the stand keeps you from slicing yourself. Remember, Cut towards your thumb not your chum!

I superglued the bolt and nut to keep from loosening.

Hardware

-Standard Razor Blade

-1 M4 X 6mm SHCS

-1 M4 Nut

-Super Glue or Loctite

Had trouble printing the angled overhang part even with supports. might be a calibration issue with my filament but I think the model can still be improved on. I also didn’t like how big the base/holder is, I would go for more of a cap design to save on filament. Overall, very functional. I finally have something to use my 100-pack of razor blades I have lying around.

I hope this doesn't come off as downplaying your design. I tend to like models that don't require supports to begin with, my initial thought was to make the angle much steeper one near the edge of the blade or redesign it such that there is no angle. My issue was the edges of that part warping, I might be able to get better results if I just flipped that part upside down and had supports on the flatter side, not sure if that will work with the tiny tabs that hold the blade in though.

@cxy7722 I didn't have any issues with the piece warping. make sure your filament is dry. that part for me came out fantastic a few times. try using PC. I didn't have the overhang issue with that material
