Description

This darn joystick is too stiff! Yeah… this will help some.

This part compresses the main spring less, which will reduce the stiffness to a significant degree.

This should work for all Speedlink branded Competition Pro joystick variants. Lift the microswitch plate up from the upper base, pull off the C-clip from the end of the shaft, and replace the black part in the photo with this one. Included is a round profile for stock directional bias, and a square profile which is similar to the original Competition Pro the Speedlink is a repro of. The square profile should give a little more bias to diagonal inputs, but after trying them both I prefer the round one.

PLA or PETG (I went with PETG because I don't know the hardness of the microswitches,) textured or smooth plate, 0.16 layer height, 100% infill (walls are too thin to bother and you want this thing to be solid.)

.STL is in millimeter scale. Print wide end down with support enabled. Supported surfaces aren't on any critical tolerances. The spring rides on the outer rim, which is the only place you should maybe clean up a little bit, but for the rest of it just picking it off is fine.

Shoutout to: chripede from Printables for the original model this was based on (public domain.)
