Fun Radio Tower for Outer Space Play!

Original design for the 2022 Christmas Community Print Drive.

Also available: Radio Tower with Dishes Shown in group photo.
Toys for the Print Drive were printed with the filled legs so there would be less chance of them breaking. Both versions are now available.

More Models: Collection of all approved 2022 Christmas Community Print Drive models

Additional Information and Print Settings

Model is approximately 50 x 53 x 150 mm. I printed with 0.2 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 12% infill, and 4 top and bottom layers (*see note below). No supports. No raft.

If you are printing for the Community Print Drive, be sure to use the appropriate guidelines:

These planets were also designed for the 2022 Christmas Community Print Drive.

*Note: Depending on the slicer, it may print faster if some regions have bottom and/or top layers removed. If you like playing with slicer settings, here is what I did: Bottom and top layers are removed after height 1 mm. However, this created a tiny gap at the top of the leg arches and the bottom of the side decoration, so I put them back between 35.5 and 44 mm. Top layers included again at 147.5 mm through to the end height.
