Description

This is a hard drive enclosure, used for storing 3.5-inch hard drives.

Although it's quite simple to design a box like this:

I think it's not visually appealing enough.

I referred to a model and finally made this one, but I don't know where this model came from - I saw it in some files stored earlier. If someone knows the original source of this model, please let me know so I can annotate the remix's origin.

This model can be directly printed without supports and assembly .

The design features grooves on both the top and back surfaces, making it easy to stack them up.

Due to the slight differences in size between 3.5-inch hard drives, I added a lining to make it easier to securely hold the drive in place.

The strip was a failed idea, it's actually a 0.8mm thick plate made by resizing the model provided by Bamboo Studio. But once installed, it only works a few times. It is too brittle and breaks easily. I actually used this: a free paper ruler from the IKEA. It's easy to get, easy to replace and much more durable. In my case, it is usually used to store old hard drives and is rarely taken out, so no strips are acceptable.
