📑 Assembly Instructions

1: 3D print the parts above and gather the required non-3D printable parts.

2: Insert 6 Nuts into the Core.

Hint: Use a hex key to position/align them correctly.

3: Insert a Screw through a Washer, then through a Spring, then through a Centre piece.

Then screw it into the Core.

4: Repeat this 3 more times to form a circle around the Core.

5: Complete the circle by placing 4 Edge pieces between the Centre pieces.

6: Hold the cube on its side, then place 4 Corner pieces into the top of the cube.

7: Then, place 4 Edge pieces between the 4 Corner pieces.

8: Screw a Centre piece into the middle.

Remember to use a Washer and Spring.

9: Repeat steps 6-7 for the other side.

10: When all Centre pieces are screwed into place, all pieces should be locked into place.

If the cube does not rotate smoothly, try loosening some of the screws.

11: Superglue the caps onto the outside of the cube (optional).
12: Try to solve your puzzle cube!

Printed in PLA in A1 mini. Add to spread it over several plates and it turned out ok. Added my own "textures" after some testing that worked for me. Far from being a speed cube or anything but it works. As a good foundation. :) Nice! Thank you.

As a cuber I'm definitively going to print this model! How big do you reckon I could go? Is there a scaling I can do to use M6 or M8 screws and nuts for example? I know I'd have to source the springs as well... I have a Diansheng Googol 3x3 which is 10cm I use to teach teenagers and I'd love something even larger for display!

Thanks for the boost and great questions! - Right now, 60mm width is the default size and the only 100% confirmed working size until I get around to printing and testing more variants. You might run into some weirdness in my model if you go too big or too small, but you should hopefully be able to notice any issues (like floating regions or thin walls) before printing. - It's designed for only M3 screws and nuts, for larger cubes you'll need longer screws than the ones I've included in the Bill of Materials. But I'm hoping to add a customisation option for this soon. - For now, the best way to use M6 screws/nuts is to scale the model 200% in the slicer. - I plan on continuing to update the model over the next few months, there's a lot I want to add and improve, but I'm not sure when I'll get the time to do it Hope this helps! :)
