Description

A cat rattle toy I designed with three separate pieces. The tricky part is to carefully detach the small ball at the core. Oh I forgot - no supports needed.

Edit: I got some comments about spaghetti defects at the top - this area has some overhangs so if you do mind them try to print slowly or with better bridge settings.

Printed with PETG in 100% and 150%. Works very well, I love the smart design. However, it leads to some spaghetti and sharp edges on the top layers. NOTE: I would give it 4/5 stars, but Makerworld only allow 3 stars as print is marked as crashed (wrong detection).

Hey thanks for the comment, your prints looks good - but sorry it lead to spaghetti defects. I am aware that the top layers can cause that so I suggest to print it more slowly.

i couldn't get this to print in pla even after 7 tries.. i reprinted it so many times because the inner 2 balls come out fine, the biggest ball fails at about 2/3 of the way up.. my cat LOVES the two inner balls and i know she'd love it if i could get it to print all the way without failing. any advice?

Hey man, sorry it didn't print well, my cat is absolutely crazy about it! First I can suggest to try to print it more slowly. What layer height did you use?

i tried a couple different heights.i also printed it at 50% speed. can't remember what layer height i used, but i tried .28, .20, can't remember what else. my cat LOVES it, tho.. it failed at about just over 50% to 2/3 height. still, my kitty loves the inner balls, so it was still a good print.
