Description

Ancient tablets for display - Check my other models for a display stand

I print in black and apply gold rub n buff to top layers, but i will also add a multi colour files for printing in black then gold/your choice of colour for the raised parts.

One 3mf file has all tablets on separate plates

2 colour files are seperate

A similar effect can be done by swapping the filament at layer 10, for those without an AMS

I modified the model so the gold parts are on the same layer. Printed upside down on a patterned PEI surface for a holographic effect. Came out great!

2 colour Mew

I printed this with gold silk pla from bambu and black matte. I ironed it as well. It turned out okay. The Gold Rub n Buff is a better idea. Or using a black and gold filament. I really think this should be printed with a 0.2 print head if you are going to iron it. If you go with 0.4, then I recommend stepping the layer quality up. The text at the top in the model is right on the edge, so that's pretty much always going to look a little rough.

Thank you :) you can set your .4 nozzle top layers and walls to .32 to get the finer details to work better. I don't suggest to use ironing as it doesn't work well on the small details. Also fine tuning your flow will help a lot

The grandkids will love these stand has big error cross beam to large for the slots have to cut every one of them. A real pain.

I have found some filament to have a different tolerance causing a tight fit. fine tuning flow or scaling down the middle piece by 1% will fix that
