When life gives you empty prusament spools, make a clock out of them.
With the BambuLabs Kit 011 (Clock Components) or also pretty much every other cheap clockwork from the usual online shops*, you can turn each empty prusament spool into 2 clocks. Put one on you desk and hang one on your wall. They make nice gifts (and the clockworks a dead cheap) as well. Give the old spools a second life and meaning.
Assembly:
1. pull the prusament spool apart. Keep the plastic parts and recycle the paper cylinder
2. print the clockwork adapter and pressfit a clockwork into it. It is meant to be TIGHT, so you may need to wiggle it in a bit, but it will fit**
3. pressfit the clockwork adapter into the center hole of a half spool. Again: TIGHT. It WILL fit, and it (probably) wont break
4. print and add the hands to it, or use the hands that come with the clockwork (they aways come with hands)
5. print the spool adapter ring and pressfit it around the spools cylinder
6. hang it on you wall and admire
Optional:
print the foot to stand the clock on your desk. It fits into the spool adapter, no glue required
print decoration elements. a cap that goes into the spool hole, or some hexagonal nubs that fit into the spool plate (these might require a drop of glue)
Be creative. Mix colors.
