Description

Shelf with secret compartment: insert a 6x3mm magnet into the hole and it will lock in place when closed. To open, use another magnet (see video). Simple and functional.

A 6x3mm magnet is needed.and a second magnet to open it.

There are two models: one with a 0.15mm tolerance and one with a 0.20mm tolerance. The 0.15mm model worked perfectly for me.

can you explain this to me, I’m not understanding where/how to attach that inner magnet, what orientation anything should be. I remixed this to use it on my Skadis pegboard but now that it printed I don’t know what to do! 🤣

Hi,Slightly close the drawer, insert the magnet into the hole, and close it so the magnet locks with the drawer.

Thanks. I got it to work. I didn't realize there was a cutout/indent inside the "cover' part and also was trying to put that part on upside down. I was also wondering if i was supposed to be gluing the magnet somewhere, but nope. Oh well, hopefully my stupid questions will help someone else!

What are the dimensions? Which is better STL or 3MF?

It depends on how the printer is calibrated. With a 0.2mm tolerance, you can be confident it will fit well. With a 0.15mm tolerance, you might need to lightly sand the corners. The 3MF file is already prepared with a print profile. With the STL file, you'll need to use your own profile.
