Description

Parametric Device Stand

Simple stand for small to large devices of any thickness. Includes optional hexagonal cutout pattern for aesthetics/filament savings.

Note that due to limitations with editing vectors in the Customizer view in both OpenSCAD and MakerWorld, the number of devices is limited to 10.  The code is somewhat rough but should be easily editable to add more devices if you require.

Key Features:

  • Device Thickness: Input the thickness of your devices to ensure a snug fit
  • Stand Width: Adjust the width of the stand to fit your desired dimensions
  • Divider Height: Customize the height of the dividers to separate your devices
  • Fillet Radii: Tune the fillet radii to control the curvature of the stand's edges
  • Hex Pattern: Enable or disable the hex pattern and adjust its details to suit your preferences

Instructions:

  1. Measure the thicknesses of your devices
  2. Input the measurements into the parameter list
  3. Adjust the stand's other parameters to meet your desired specifications
  4. Download and print your customized stand!

i can't generate a stand for just a single device. is that by design or am i doing something wrong? if i disable all but the first device the generated model looks like this.

Ist sehr stabil Könnte nur etwas weniger filament verbrauchen dann wäre es perfekt.

Perhaps not helpful now that you've already printed, but by lowering some of the general stand parameters (stand width, divider thickness, divider height, and others), the stand will be smaller and lower the filament usage. You can further adjust parameters such as the hex pattern gap and offset to lower filament usage even further, although eventually you will sacrifice some strength in the stand. Perhaps the default values lean too far towards strength instead of cost savings. Thank you for the feedback!
