Description

Placing bags on the Tesla Model 3 rear seat can have an unexpected surprise. If the bag weighs enough (maybe 5Kg or more), the car will trigger a rear seat belt warning. Rather than disable the warning (child seat enabled), I decided to provide a hanging hook for that bag.

This is my revised design.  Unfortunately, my previous design had a high stress point at the pillar clips.  A brittle plastic (eg. PLA) would crack the clips.  I've revised the design to be more tolerant with integrated de-stressors at the clips.  My hanging hook was printed in PLA+.  From a car high temperature in the midday sun perspective, PETG would likely be an even better choice of plastic.  If you try PLA, let me know your experience.

The hook panel is designed to attach to 12mm head rest pillars, 136mm apart.

My print of the battery plate is made in eSUN PLA+ 1.75mm black filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer.  No print supports required.

I hope you can find this design useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
