MAKE SURE TO PRINT THE SCREW AT 0.14 LAYER HEIGHT OR ELSE IT DOES NOT THREAD PROPERLY
I saw something similar in an Adam savage video a while back and thought to myself “that would be useful” so I made it. It is great for holding small things while sanding so that you do not have to strain your hand.
Assembly
- Print everything out(you don't need the TPU jaw covers but it is much stronger with them)
- Insert the rod into the smaller hole of the jaw without threads and super glue it in place
- Insert the screw into the top hole in the jaw without the threads
- Thread the little nut onto the screw and super glue that in place(make sure that you do not accidentally glue the screw to the jaws of the vise)
- I recommend doing that buy placing a bit of glue infront of it and then threading it over the glue you placed
- Screw on the other jaw
- Insert the jaws into the handle
- You can superglue it in but I found the friction fit to be good enough
