Description

Tired of using cords or rubber bands? Me too, so I did a lazy man's Xbox Controller Stick Lock for afk methods of gaining xbox. Quick and easy.

Update #1

Version #2: Top Lock; no filament needed

How to Use Version 2:

  1. Fully open gear and place over controller
    1. Nubs will only allow gear to open so far and not fall out
  2. Tighten gear by twisting or with fingers to get full tight
  3. Rotate Top Lock Clockwise to cover hook ends and “Lock in”…. Enjoy all your “afk” xp

To Assemble:

  1. Place Gear in middle of Base
    1. Bubble and edges will align with gear
  2. Take both ArmV3Nub pieces and align with gear with hooks facing inward
    1. Teeth should be at the end and hooks should be right next to (touching base, not inside hole indent)
    2. See below image
  3. Place top with aligning grooves (will only fit one way)
    1. I would recommend closing top and testing rotation first
  4. Remove top, place dabs of super glue on edges away from gears
    1. press and hold tight till dry
    2. I pinched top and bottom together while rotating gear to make sure nothing got stuck while gluing
  5. Add Top Lock, aligning “feet” to slot in the channel and turn counterclockwise making sure it can move freely in groove
  6. Built and ready for use

Version #1: still working on some tweaks

How to use Version 1:

  1. Fully open gear and place over controller
    1. Nubs will only allow gear to open so far and not fall out
  2. Tighten gear by twisting or with fingers to get full tight
  3. Slot in 1.75mm filament in either hole to lock in place
    1. hole slot may be snug, slightly loosen or pinch to get the filament piece in to lock in place

To Assemble:

  1. Place Gear in middle of Base
    1. Bubble and edges will align with gear
  2. Take both ArmV3Nub pieces and align with gear with hooks facing inward
    1. Teeth should be at the end and hooks should be right next to (touching base)
    2. See image #1
  3. Slot on top matching the grooves
    1. I would recommend closing top and testing rotation first
  4. Remove top, place dabs of super glue on edges away from gears
    1. press and hold tight till dry
    2. I pinched top and bottom together while rotating gear to make sure nothing got stuck while glueing

Wow you did that quick! Looks great! Glad our nerd sides line up! doing an updated version that'll hold the sticks tighter and not need the filament stopper

Any chance you can upload the STL? Can't open the 3mf in a different slicer.
