Tolerance for the lid is pretty loose. Slides right out if you tilt the box.

The box is meant to hold both the cards and instructions. Adding paper (like for scoring) will improve the fit.

The box is made to hold the deck of cards and the instructions. This will create pressure that holds the lid.
