A bunch of hex-keys loose on the table - not too easy to find then.. But hex-keys with nice T-Handles organized in a simple stand - you are welcome!

It is made to print easily, and with the possibilty to save filament and look through with infill-settings.

The stand is made for the following models:

Overview

The stand is made of 2 parts:

  • Main (the part that holds the T-Handles)
  • Back (the flat back part that is supporting the main part)

The stand comes in versions with space for different amount of hex-keys:

  • 2 slots
  • 3 slots
  • 4 slots
  • 5 slots

It’s also available in different heights, to fit different sizes of hex-keys:

  • 105 mm
  • 140 mm
  • 175 mm

As an extra option, you can print a use the Weight Box filled with sand/salt, to prevent the stand from tipping over while loaded with big hex-keys. The Weight is made of the following parts:

  • Weight Box
  • Weight Lid

Assembly

This one is easy:

  1. Press the Back part into the Main part

(Optional: insert the Weight filled with sand into the Main part, before pressing on the Back parts)

Print instructions

A few suggestions:

  • Orientation: The Main and Back parts are printed with the big flat sides facing down. The Weight box is printed on the side, and the weight lid printed flat on the bed.
  • Infill: 10% Honeycomb for the Main and Back parts (or whatever style you prefer)
  • Top / Bottom layers: 0 for the Main and Back parts (to save filament and show the infill)

Filament

I printed these in filament sponsored by FormFutura - and they work great! To be sturdy enough for practical use I used their Tough PLA mostly - and their Easyfill PLA for color organizing. If interested, check out their products here:

Happy printing!
