Description

DeckBuddy

The DeckBuddy, a variant of my PokerBuddy project is an handy latching box that can hold two decs of standard playing cards to bring around and play!

The box is designed with a latching closing mechanism and a print in place hinge, you just need to hit print!

The playing deck can be inserted both with a box or without it, so you can also use the DeckBuddy to store your favorite card decks.

The ace of spades design can be printed with AMS or in single color using the debossed version you find in the print profiles.

Also check out the PokerBuddy and PokerBuddy Mini if you would like to bring some playing chips with you!

Note for using a different slicer

In case you are not using BambuStudio and cannot import the print profile for this, be aware that for the best result, this model has to be print with “print infill first” ON (to avoid bridging artifacts in the corners that keep the cards from falling), and with variable layer height that prints the top part of the print in a finer resolution, to ensure proper hinge and latch functionality, check this image to see how i set up my variable layer height.

A note about the design

I cannot understate how sorry i am for making this design asymmetrical, it does trigger me too, but i didn't want to make the model larger for no reason, and i needed the space to accommodate the latch, so the DeckBuddy had to be this way
