Description

A while back I put up a Nuka Cola Wall Lamp which was very well received. But I also got a few comments from people who where simply not satisfied with the size - they wanted more!

And here it is!

A new and improved version redesigned on a much grander scale. This time there is only one limit - the edge of your build plate. This Nuka Cola Bottle Cap wall lamp span a colossal 245mm in diameter (~9.6 in)!

Both the lamp and base are redesigned for this format and will sit perfectly on your wall. And best of all - the Bambu Lab LED light kit 001 fits snuggly in the center. I've also adjusted the print settings to print the rounded edge with lower layer height to make it smoother.

PS. The yellow tint in some of the pictures is an artifact from the photos and does not show up in real life. I'm sure someone better versed in illumination can tell me why.

Had a few lamp kits that I bought a while back and hadn't made any plans for. Was looking for a quick project over the weekend and thought I'd find a lamp print out. Saw the smaller version of this model and thought it'd be nice if it was bigger...oh hey, there's a bigger one and I happen to have both red and white loaded in the AMS already, let's print it. I printed the base in PETG as the led puck felt pretty warm after leaving it on for a bit and I didn't want to chance it melting the PLA once it was mounted. The only issue I had was with the rounded edge of the cap, even with the lower layer height it's still a bit "fuzzy". I'm planning on making another as a gift for a friend, I'll try slow down the print for the first couple layers and see if that helps. Nothing a bit of sanding wouldn't handle if I was so inclined and nothing that's noticeable unless you are up close and looking for flaws. Bambu Matte PLA - Scarlet Red (11200) Polymaker PolyTerra PLA - Cotton White Bambu PETG Basic - Blue Gray (30601) - for the base, color doesn't really matter. Thanks for sharing the model!

Thanks for the great feedback! I was struggling with the edge as well, this is as good as I could get it without making it too steep visually. As tou say, it's only noticeable up close. Your print came out great, I'm happy you shared a picture, I love seeing the results!
