This is a spherical rendition of a crab snare for fishing poles. The negative molds were 3D printed and positive molds created from silicone resin. Epoxy resin mixed with lead powder was used to create the structure of the snare and add weight. Each completed ball weighs about 5 ounces. The two halves are closed using some powerful magnets. This is the first revision--still in the debugging phase of using them for crabbing!
