Designed for chain pieced fabric thread cutting, or thread cutting in general.
Reuse your old 45mm rotary cutter blades.
You can use the hardware (minus the blade) from a 28mm Rotary Cutter from Dollar Tree.
However, the front and back halves will friction fit pretty tight (on my printer at least,) so I'd say the hardware is probably optional. Could use a simple cheap bolt and nut instead.
These are weirdly expensive online, so I made my own design. This one's “petals” reminded me of whale/dolphin tails.
Case acts as a stand for the cutter. Held together with optional 6mmx2mm magnets.
This model was copied from Printables [45mm Rotary Blade Thread Cutter by Printbird] and is attributed to Printbird (@Printbird_11388664). Thanks to them for creating this model. I did modify my print profile to have a heavier infill on the lower portion of the case bottom to give it some more weight, and hopefully prevent it from tipping over.
