THE STL FILES GIVEN ARE FOR 10mm AND 8mm WRENCH DESIGN FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES. USE THE PARAMETRIC DESIGNER TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR WRENCH OR SPANNER AS NEEDED.
 

This parametric wrench model is designed in OpenSCAD and allows users to customize the wrench according to specific needs. The model supports five different types of wrenches:

1. Single open-end wrench
2. Single ring-end wrench
3. Double open-end wrench
4. Double ring-end wrench
5. Combination wrench (one end open, one end ring)

Users can specify key parameters such as the size of the wrench ends, the overall length, the thickness of the wrench, and for single-ended wrenches, the size of a hanging hole.

User Instructions

Parameters

1. Combination (combination):

• Values: 1 to 5
• Description: Select the type of wrench:
  • 1: Single open-end wrench
  • 2: Single ring-end wrench
  • 3: Double open-end wrench
  • 4: Double ring-end wrench
  • 5: Combination wrench (one end open, one end ring)

2. Width of Opening for 1st End (size1):

• Value: Positive number in millimeters
• Description: Set the size of the opening for the first end of the wrench.

3. Width of Opening for 2nd End (size2):

• Value: Positive number in millimeters
• Description: Set the size of the opening for the second end of the wrench. This parameter is only applicable for combinations 3, 4, and 5.

4.Thickness of Wrench (thickness):

• Value: Positive number in millimeters
• Description: Set the thickness of the wrench.

5.Length of Wrench (length):

• Value: Positive number in millimeters
• Description: Set the length of the wrench. It is recommended to use a length at least twice the width of the largest opening.

6.Segments in a Full Circle (segments):

• Value: Positive number
• Description: Set the number of segments in a full circle for higher quality circular edges.

7.Hanging Hole Diameter (hole):

• Value: Positive number in millimeters or 0
• Description: Set the diameter of the hanging hole. Use 0 for no hole. Applicable only for single-ended wrenches (combinations 1 and 2).

Usage

1. Set the Combination Type: Choose the type of wrench by setting the combination parameter to a value between 1 and 5.
2. Specify Wrench Sizes: Define the sizes of the wrench openings using size1 and size2 parameters. For single-ended wrenches (combinations 1 and 2), only size1 is necessary.
3. Define Physical Dimensions: Set the thickness and length parameters according to your requirements.
4. Adjust Segment Quality: If you need smoother circular edges, increase the segments parameter value.
5. Hanging Hole Option: For single-ended wrenches (combinations 1 and 2), you can specify a hanging hole diameter using the hole parameter. Set it to a value lower than size1, or use 0 for no hole.
6. Generate the Model: After setting the parameters, render the model in OpenSCAD. Ensure that all parameters are set to valid, non-zero values to avoid errors.
