Description

Leg with hexagonal texture for DIY Monitor Stand/ Desk Shelf

This is inspired by the popular expensive wood desk shelves/ stands.

The goal is to DIY on a budget with an off-the-shelf wood panel and 3d printed parts.

Total costs about 20 USD or 32 AUD.

  • 3.5 hr print time for each leg and base pair (7 hours in total) with my BambuLab P1S.
  • Print orientation can be found in the last photo.

Project:

  • I am using an affordable dressed pine panel (1200x184x19 mm) for the wood top in this project.
(I picked this one up from a local hardware store for about 18 AUD)
  • Something like Ikea BERGSHULT would be a good option as well. It comes in both 120x20 and 80x20cm if you want a smaller size.
  • Assembly requires some 25mm long countersunk timber screws (you can use either 4 or 6, the design has 3 screw holes each)
