Description

and yet ANOTHER build plate holder..

.. but this time for the A1 Mini!

The design is easy to print: Front & Rear facing down, and Sides on their sides.

The holes are suited for 3x20mm hex-screws, but you can easily use shorter ones.

------------------------------

V0 (Prints on A1M):

  • I could not fit the original design to the 180x180 build plate I had to narrow down the space between plates (9mm instead of 10mm) and reduce the capacity from 5 to 4 plates.

V1 (Punch):

  • Does not print on A1M.
  • My initial design (for the support haters)

V2 (Classic):

  • Does not print on A1M.
  • Open holes which need support (My favorite as supports are very easily removed)

------------------------------

A1M to A1M Stacker:

  • Prints on A1M
  • Simply stack your “Build plate holders” on top of each other.

Tired of DUSTY plates?

Cover them with a Top Plate:

  • Prints on A1M
  • Simple Top cover (to avoid dust collecting on plates)

  • Tray Top cover (with 2 flat & 2 rounded compartments)

A1M on P1S Stacker:

  • Does not print on A1M.
  • Requires disabling the “Bed exclude area” (more info down below)
  • To easily stack your “A1M Build plate holder ” to your “P1S Build plate holder”

WHY & HOW to disable the “Bed exclude area”:

The “Bed exclude area” is that white rectangular area at the front left corner of the build plate visible in BambuStudio.

It blocks the coordinates in which the tool-head performs its filament cut.

This area must be enabled to make full use of the build plate.

(1) Go to: “Printer settings” - Cut the coordinates “0x0, 18x0, 18x28, 0x28” and save this configuration to something you remember so you don't accidentally print other objects with it!!

(2) Zip-tie the springy arm at the front left corner of your P1P, P1S, X1C to the hinge of the door - if you have (or anywhere else) to prevent your tool-head from colliding with that arm when printing in that corner.

I zip-tied mine half way through the print after several collisions had already taken place. Although I did not find any damage to any of my parts, I would still strongly suggest to prevent this from happening to avoid any damage that might occur.

(3) After initializing the print - Get the Prime-line off the plate - it will otherwise interfere with the print.

(4) Erase the previously created "Printer setting" from step (1) and undo the Zip-tie from step (2).

If you like my design, I’d really appreciate your feedback!

It would mean the world to me. Thank you! 😊
