Description

I love the X1C design, so I wanted to create a similar enclosure for my A1 Mini.

Premise, I know that the A1 Mini is not created to work in an enclosure etc, but I closed it only whene the print is out of service to protect from dust etc and for only my estetical pleasure, when it works I keep the door and the roof open.

The project currently is about just the enclosure and not of AMS and its management, an update will follow that will only touch the rear panel to incorporate the PTFE from AMS.(I must verify some parameters befer to release that).

The mounting of chassis is easy, all are interlocking peaces and their fixing is renforced by glue, below what I used:

For the panneling, I used the 3mm Dibond material below an example photo,

I cut it of the mausere needed, I prefer don't say the measure, when you glued all peaces of chassis, is better that you take the meause alone to cover better the dettail, below a picture of all cover needed.

while for the roof and the door I use a policarbonato always of 3 mm also it cutted after the chaissis is glued, to have more dettailed measure.

in the end for the door hinges I used a Pin like in the photo belw (usually used for shelves) diameter 5 mm and for the handle a magnet of 10 mm diameter.

I was at home while printing. I could hear the nozzle scrubbing against the thing being printed .

This has never happened to me before, the printout turned out fine, but I noticed that something like this was happening and that's why I reported it to you so that you could possibly improve the project. maybe I'm the only one, or maybe others just didn't notice it. Your project is really great, have a nice day

What if we could add a slot on the enclosure near the ventilation holes for the electronics and an exhaust fan to remove the hot air, would that work? I am considering to buy the A1 mini but i would like to keep it enclosed with the exhaust ducted to an air purifier in the winter months

Nice design! I love it! I am scaling it to my A1 and verifying the size. Hope it can work. 设计非常nice,我很喜欢,非常感谢作者。我正在尝试修改尺寸来适配我的A1,希望能够成功。

Partly success (about 40% finished), so I want to share my tip first. I am "lazy" so I tried to find some easy ways to change the size. I open the stl file with blender, cut the elements to get parts without bolt part (for example, the middle part of the columns) and change the length of it. And it works. Maybe you can fit the size to your requirement in this way easily.

neat, I see in one of your pictures you have a bunch of PTFE tubes at the top, mounted to a bar, is this how your setting up the AMS? My AMS PTFE tubes move so much, I'm not sure where to cut the hole for the PTFE tubes. I do kind of like that bar idea, where it almost looks like a manifold, i'm sure with longer PTFE tubes going to the AMS, this would work really well.
