TN 18" Scanner Plate

I made an 18" diameter scanning plate to scan my heavy clay sculptures and RC Crawlers.

I mounted my plate on a18" diameter x 1" thick wooden base I got at the home improvement store.

I mounted the wooden base to an accurate lazy susan. Don't cheap out on getting an accurate lazy susan. The cheapo versions are sloppy! You were warned!

From there you may want to mount the turntable to a steady bench/table. And then use a tripod to hold the Scanner or you could scan by hand as you spin the turntable with the other hand.
