Description

“The Thirst Zapper is a weapon in Fallout, introduced in the Nuka-World on Tour update.”

This Thirst Zapper replica is a collectible any Fallout fan will enjoy! Jump into the Fallout universe with this excellent prop, great for displays and cosplays. The model is split into about 25 separate pieces (all organized by color in the print profile for your convenience) to allow for optimal print orientations to achieve the best print quality or allow for easier post processing/painting. The prop is held together with two pegs (may need to be sanded depending on your printer's tolerances; these are mainly used to line the parts up) and super glue (see sectional analysis photo for reference).

This model has been successfully printed and assembled multiple times but please leave a comment if something isn't quite working for you and I'll do my best to upload adjustment files. Thanks for checking out my model!

I missed one of the spacers when installing, which I'll fix with a v2. this prints amazingly. My only complaint would be how the handle fits into the base, as it seems almost too tight to fit well without sanding. Picture is after being painted.

okay now that’s impressive. the paint job really brings it to life! when you build your 2nd one, try inserting both side pieces of the grip, once they’re in place, slide the middle part right down the middle. this was the easiest way I’ve found to put it together. any other issues feel free to let me know. I appreciate the boost!

That is how I built the handle, but unfortunately the CA glue started to cure when doing that due to it being spread across the pieces and it hardened as I put the pieces together. It feels almost like the Z-axis height is 0.3mm too tall due to the tension it gives me.

It may also be that I am using a textured build plate. Maybe that provides too much friction?

Thank you! im working on a print profile that cuts the main body in half and prints multicolor for the white. If vertical there’s too much time and waste. If it looks good I’ll post it.

Great print! I’ve wasted a lot of filament trying to scale it down to 70%. Some of the parts need to be adjusted. if I can figure out exactly how I made it fit well I’ll upload the 70% version as well.

Very tight fits, but with some clamps, hammering, and a couple hundred years of light wear, it turned out great as part of a complete Fallout birthday prize pack!

I have assembled everything and it looks great! The “barrel” needs a bit more support but I just separated it and reprinted the one part
