Description

UPDATE:

Added new Bottoms with the installation of m3 screws

for the Version m3 screws: need to drill holes into the bottom

I tried many DryBox solution, but always have issues with the spools on the rods. So to make it easier, I use extensions for the bearings.

Requirements:

1x IKEA Samla 22L Box with Lid (Lid with insulation strip)

16x 608ZZ Bearings (22x8x7)

2x 8mm Threaded Rods (320mm each)

Double sided Tape (Adhesion bottom part onto the box)

Instructions:

-insert the top and bottom part together

-insert 2 bearings onto the spool holder each. Tight fit. Might use some strength.

-put 4 spool holders into the rod

-put the rod onto the top part

-with double sided tape on the bottom part, insert into the box

youll need to add some supports. If you use tree supports it will turn out best.

Updated a new Version 3 with tree support. Tree Support will need less filament and works better regards removing. And you can trim the inside. You can trim the inside off.

Really good design! Work really well so far! Two little downsides - On the roller where the inside diameter become smaller there an issue where the filament print in the air (see pic), it need support. - The tolerance for the feets is to tight. But none of that prevent it from working 100% Thanks for this design!
