I made this Knife Honing Steel Holder in order to get the angle right and consistent over the full length. Right now, I just can't do it in mid air with a consistent angle and I feel more comfortable with a solid base and using two hands.

Print & Assembly

• Check the diameter of your honing steel and select the matching size of the model. If you are unsure if it fits, go one size bigger.
   
• Recommended screw size: M4x20. (At least M4x10, maximum size ist M4x25).
   
• When you clamp the steel into the holder, it will scratch some material off the print. Because it indirectly has contact with food, you want to avoid this. Easy fix: wrap a strip of kitchen paper / paper towel around the steel in the clamping area.
