Description

Clock - rotating number dial - Components Kit 011

I found the set uninteresting with standard hands. So instead of rotating the hands, the numbers are moved. The time is shown on the left. A coloured insert illustrates this further. All parts are designed separately and can therefore also be printed in colour without AMS.

The following set is required: https://eu.store.bambulab.com/collections/makers-supply/products/clock-components-kit-011

  • What is needed from the set: Clock, second hand, washer and nut
  • What is not needed from the set: Hour hand, minute hand, rubber spacer ring
  • What else is needed: File or knife for the holes

Important: Do not install the rubber spacer ring. When assembling, make sure that the numbers are inserted exactly as shown, otherwise you will never be able to set the time correctly. The holes in the discs are deliberately a little too small, the discs have to fit tightly. It is recommended to finish them very carefully with a file or knife.

Really nice design. Is there any way to change the 60 on the minute hand into a 00?

Unfortunately I can't upload the original Fusion CAD file here because it is in the cloud. So I would do it this way: Either cut away the 6 in Bambu slicer or in Meshmixer and insert a copy of 0 next to it. That would probably be the easiest and quickest. Alternatively, you can use the font tool and simply enter a zero, but you still have to cut away the 6 first.

trying to figure out how one reads this? I love the design I had an idea for something similar and found yours looking to see if it existed. would you read where the extra hand was or the horizontal section?

Take a look at the large picture in the description: There you can also see that there is a coloured insert. The numbers floating above show the time. The idea is not really new, but is based on old "rotating dial watches". You can also search for the term on google. Beside, the time can only be read on the left, otherwise the digits are upside down. Due to the design of the movement, it is not possible to read the time on the right side. What you probably see as the "extra hand" is the second hand? It works normally.

This is a really great concept. I just cannot understand using 60 instead of 00.
