Description

I present to you my slightly larger project.
It is a simple mechanical vending machine.
All parts except the coin selector are printed.
In addition to the coin, it is also possible to use a token, which is also in the project.

I ordered the coin selector on AliExpress, it is possible to order elsewhere /full internet/ and it can be ordered already set to the desired coins. I ordered for €2 at this address:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006542189581.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.17.2b3c1802ka2F93
I made a drawer for the coins and it can be locked with a simple key, as well as the top lid. I recommend printing the key from stronger material.

I printed only the drawer, the key and the balls with the supports.

I used instant glue to glue the locks.

For reinforcement, I used 2.5 mm self-tapping screws, which I heated before assembly.

The machine works perfectly and the children are already choosing their toys in the balls. I use it for tokens that I give out as gifts at the store, but you can also use it for coins.

The machine can hold about 80-90 balls

Might be my favorite print so far that I’ve completed. Very fun design, and everything printed great as-is. Could perhaps make a few changes to a couple objects to save on filament and print time. But it’s hard to complain when everything printed fine and assembled great. Still waiting for the mechanism to be delivered but as far as the 3D printable parts, it turned out perfect. Thank you for sharing your creation!

thank you for the rating. I designed it step by step, I would certainly design the next version more sparingly with the material. I still have plans for bigger balls, for bigger gifts.

are you thinking of designing the coin gear for it? I would really love to have it all printed instead of buying the extra part? even if it’s a simple mechanism to turn the inside

There's a small part being sliced on Plate 3. Is this an error or a part that is needed? Very cool design, I have over half of the plates printed. Waiting for the mechanism to arrive as well.

Yes, I just noticed it now. This part was hitting the mechanism a bit, so I beveled it a bit and didn't notice that there was a bit left. today I will try to fix it in the draft as well. Thanks for the information.
