Description

Translucent test model for Kit 001

I use this model to test how light looks going through different filaments.
It works with the LED Lamp Kit 001 from the bambulab store.

 

How it works:

This model is made for testing 0.20 mm layer height, this isn't a requirement if you are testing walls and don't care about layer height.

 

The top of the model is for testing the transparency on the layers.

Above picture show the layers printed in the different cells of the model.

If you choose to use this for your test, make sure you are printing on 0.20 mm layer height

 

 

The other test is the walls.
Picture shows the amount of walls being printed.

 

IMPORTANT SETTINGS:

If you are printing with a custom profile make sure ‘Detect thin walls’ is enabled


Filament database:
I am trying to build a database with all sorts of filaments starting with bambulabs PLA and PETG series.
All this is being gathered in a google sheet I will make available for free at a later time.

YOU can help me build the database by sharing a picture of your print with following information on it.

  • Filament brand
  • Plastic type (PLA, PETG)
  • Filament type (matte, basic, sparkle, silk, metal)
  • Filament color (please use brand name like bambulabs ‘Desert Tan’)
