I have an old dog that the vet put on a diet. I had issues keeping track of how much food we were giving her, so when I saw this feeder on sale at our local outlet store I picked it up. It worked great, but our dog also has issues bending down to eat so I came up with a solution to raise up the feeder and thought I'd share it here in case anyone else has the same feeder and pet issues. The height is approximately 8 ½" off the ground when fully assembled. I'd suggest starting the thread on the legs before assembling; I tried to keep the parts list down to just socket head screws, one of these days I'll figure out how to make assemblies that just snap together. The fit is a little tight, so slight force to get the feeder to sit in the base is required.
