great design, fitted very well, I had some 5v RGB fans from a Pi project that look great, I drilled a small hole to get to the electronics in the back of the printhead and wired the fan off there

Please explain why this fan is needed. Lots of variations with this add on but none with an explanation to why we need an added fan to cool the extruding motor.
